EBBING AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ark. -- During commander's call, 13 Outstanding Airmen of the Quarter nominees and 28 Outstanding Airman of the Year nominees were recognized Nov. 5, 2016, for distinguishing themselves among their 188th peers and providing exceptional service to the wing.

From the compelling field of nominees, winners were selected in the Airman, Noncommissioned Officer, Senior NCO, Company Grade Officer and Field Grade Officer categories, and the category of First Sergeant was included for OAY.

Col. Bobbi Doorenbos, 188th Wing commander, presented certificates and coins to all the OAQ award winners and coins and trophies to the OAY award winners while praising their performance. Additionally, she thanked the supervisors and commanders who made it a point to recognize the hard work and dedication to the mission by these individuals.

The OAQ and OAY programs promote professional development, innovation and mission success by recognizing those who excel in their carrier fields while fostering the cultivation of ready, responsive and highly-skilled Airman.
