Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Ark. -- Airmen of the 188th were recognized, Nov. 4, 2017, Ebbing Air National Guard Base Ft. Smith, Ark., for distinguishing themselves among their peers and providing exceptional service to the wing.

Airmen of the Year and Quarter nominees were selected based in the Airman, Noncommissioned Officer, Senior NCO, First Sergeant, Company Grade Officer and Field Grade Officer categories.

Col. Robert Kinney, 188th Wing commander, presented awards to the winners, and praised their performances. Additionally, he thanked the supervisors and commanders who made it a point to recognize the hard work and dedication to the mission by these individuals.

The Outstanding Airman of the Year and Quarter program promotes professional development, innovation and mission success by recognizing those who excel in their carrier fields while fostering the cultivation of ready, responsive and highly-skilled Airman.

Kinney also recognized the Arkansas Air Guard Family of the year, Adjutant General’s Family Spirit Award, and Gold Award.
