    Gentry promoted to colonel at 188th Wing

    The 188th Operations Group promoted its commander to the rank of colonel in a ceremony held here, Feb. 2, 2019. Lt. Col Jeremiah S. Gentry, a Fort Smith native, took command of the 188th Operations Group February of last year, and oversees 210 personnel in support of operations for combatant commanders.

    188th Wing announces Outstanding Airmen of the Year winners

    The 188th Wing announced its 2018 Outstanding Airmen of the Year during a ceremony held recently at the Red Horse Training Center here. The Airmen selected are recognized for their consistent performance above expectations and setting the standard for their fellow Airmen to meet.
  • Master Sgt. Colton Guilliams, the 189th Medical Group noncommissioned officer in charge of public health, troubleshoots one of the three ventilators brought in from the neonatal intensive care unit at a hospital in Retalhuleu, Guatemala. Guilliams is a drill status Guard member who works as a biomedical technician in his civilian capacity.

    Arkansas Airman fixes hospital equipment in Guatemala

    Throughout a week-long medical readiness training exercise, 30 Airmen from the 189th Airlift Wing and 188th Wing saw more than 2,000 patients. While that number is a feat in itself, one Airman used his knowledge to support the local community in a different way.

    188th Wing UPAD continues to deliver Hurricane Florence support

    Since September 13, the Arkansas Air National Guard’s 188th Wing Unclassified Processing, Assessment and Dissemination (UPAD) has provided critical information and analysis to aid Hurricane Florence relief efforts in both North and South Carolina.

    188th Wing activates UPAD for Hurricane Florence Response

    The Arkansas Air National Guard’s 188th Wing activated its Unclassified Processing, Assessment and Dissemination (UPAD) capability in response to Hurricane Florence September 13, 2018, providing imagery, geospatial, and assessment support to incident commanders in affected areas.

    Tractor-trailer driving students pull their weight at 188th Wing

    The 188th Wing's Tractor-Trailer Training course, allows total force Airmen and DOD civilian employees to learn the skills necessary to obtain a military or commercial driver’s license and put those skills to work in their jobs.

    188th Wing hosts first senior noncommissioned officer induction ceremony

    The 188th Wing conducted an induction ceremony for its newest senior noncommissioned officers, June 2, 2018, the first such event organized and hosted by the wing.

    Air National Guard Intelligence analysts aid Puerto Rico

    Air National Guard Intelligence Analysts with the 188th Wing are supporting hurricane disaster relief in Puerto Rico by providing situation reports and imagery of damage and potential risks so workers on the ground can more efficiently assist those affected.

Stefancic III was promoted to the rank of colonel and assumed command of the 188th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group March 1, 2017 at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark.
