Two 188th Wing A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthogs” piloted by Col. Mark Anderson, 188th Wing commander, and Maj. Doug Davis, 188th Detachment 1 commander, take off from Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas, June 7, 2014. This sortie marked the wing’s final A-10 departure and capped the 188th’s Conversion Day ceremony, which recognized the many changes occurring at the wing as a result of its conversion to a remotely piloted aircraft (MQ-9 Reapers) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission. Conversion Day

Stanley L. Stefancic III was promoted to the rank of colonel and assumed command of the 188th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group March 1, 2017 at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. Retired Chief Master Sgt. Stanley Stefancic Jr. and Lindsey Stefancic, spouse of Col. Stefancic, place the colonel insignia on Stefancic’s service coat.
