Conversion continuation: Tail 613 bids farewell to 188th

Master Sgt. Steve Bunting, a crew chief with the 188th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, communicates with a pilot with the 23rd Wing prior to taxiing at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. The 188th A-10C Thunderbolt II "Warthog" (Tail No. 613) was delivered from Ebbing ANG Base to Moody Air Force Base, Ga., March 11, 2014, as part of the 188th's mission conversion from the A-10 to a remotely piloted aircraft, intelligence and targeting mission. The 188th has five remaining A-10s on station. The next A-10 is slated to depart in April. The final two aircraft are scheduled to leave the 188th June 7, 2014.
