The 123rd Intelligence Squadron ceremonially joined the 188th Wing during it Conversion Day ceremony June 7, 2014, at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The 123rd Intelligence Squadron, formerly a geographically separated unit with the Arkansas Air National Guard located at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, now falls under the 188th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group of the newly redesignated 188th Wing. The 123rd, comprised of 120 Airmen, will physically move its operation to the 188th over the next two years as part of the 188th’s mission conversion from A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthogs” to ISR and remotely piloted aircraft.
