188th Ops Group commander Burger logs fini flight
Col. Brian T. Burger, 188th Operations Group commander, conducted his ceremonial fini (final) training flight in the A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthog” (Tail No. 646) May 15, 2014, at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Burger has flown the Warthog longer than any 188th pilot. The last two A-10s depart Fort Smith June 7, 2014, as the 188th transitions from a fighter mission to an intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance/ remotely piloted aircraft mission.
