Conversion continuation: Tail 613 bids farewell to 188th
A pilot from the 23rd Wing in Moody Air Force Base, Ga., prepares to takeoff at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. The pilot delivered the 188th A-10C Thunderbolt II "Warthog" (Tail No. 613) from Ebbing ANG Base to Moody AFB March 11, 2014, as part of the 188th's mission conversion from the A-10 to a remotely piloted aircraft, intelligence and targeting mission. The 188th has five remaining A-10s on station. The next A-10 is slated to depart in April. The final two aircraft are scheduled to leave the 188th June 7, 2014.
