Community shows support for 188th Fighter Wing during Air Force Chief of Staff visit
Members of the Fort Smith, Ark., community gathered outside the gate of the 188th Fighter Wing to show their support of the 188th and to welcome Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Mark A Welsh III, Jan. 18, 2013. Welsh toured the 188th’s facilities and learned about the unit’s mission. He also discussed the 188th’s future with 188th and state military leadership as well as members of the Oklahoma and Arkansas Congressional delegation.
