Conversion countdown: Tail No. 649 departs 188th
A 188th Fighter Wing A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthog” waits in the morning sun to begin its journey from Ebbing Air National Guard Base in Fort Smith, Ark., to Moody Air Force Base, Ga., Feb. 11, 2014. Tail No. 649 is being delivered to Moody’s 23rd Wing as part of the 188th’s conversion from A-10s to remotely piloted aircraft and an intelligence and targeting mission.
