188th Fighter Wing celebrates 60th anniversary

Brig. Gen. Berry, also a former 188th member, made history at the 188th in 2012 by becoming the first general officer promoted from the 188th in more than 25 years. The 188th hosted the event in its main hangar to celebrate 60 years of excellence. The 188th marked 60 years as an Air National Guard unit Oct. 15. The unit began as the 184th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron in 1953. More than 1,000 people attended the event.
