188th Fighter Wing celebrates 60th anniversary
A quilt hangs on display at the 188th Fighter Wing’s 60th anniversary jubilee Nov. 2, 2013 at the unit’s Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. The quilt, featuring many of the 188th’s patches over the past 60 years, was donated to the wing by former 188th member, Chief Master Sgt. (ret.) Frank Graham. The 188th hosted the event in its main hangar to celebrate 60 years of excellence. The 188th marked 60 years as an Air National Guard unit Oct. 15. The unit began as the 184th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron in 1953. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Airman John Hillier/188th Fighter Wing Public Affairs)
