Lieutenant Colonel KIPP T. PARKER

Lt. Colonel Kipp T. Parker is Commander of the 188th Operations Group, Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The 188th Operations Group is responsible for providing geographic combatant commanders with persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Kinetic Strike; Close Air Support; and Air Interdiction with the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft. Parker leads two squadrons comprising more than 210 Airmen who fly, analyze, maintain and provide all direct support sustaining 24/7 combat operations at Ebbing ANGB.

Colonel Parker received his commission from Central Washington University in 2001 through Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 895. After completing Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas in 2003, he was assigned to the 61st Airlift Squadron, Little Rock AFB, Arkansas where he flew the C-130E/H3 Hercules from October 2003 to December 2007 in support of multiple global contingency operations, culminating his time as an Aircraft Commander. In 2008, Colonel Parker volunteered for and joined the MQ-1 Predator community, where he was part of the initial stand up of the 3d Special Operations Wing at Cannon, AFB New Mexico (Air Force Special Operations Command).

During his tenure there, Colonel Parker served as Instructor Pilot, Mission Commander, Assistant Operations Officer, and worked on multiple sensitive programs essential to Special Operations Command’s global mission. In addition, Colonel Parker deployed as Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Battle Captain & Liaison to Joint Special Operations Task Force as well as commanding the Special Operations Forces Liaison Element, US Embassy, Burkina Faso.

Colonel Parker’s final Active Duty assignment was at Hurlburt Field in the 34th Special Operations Squadron, where he flew Non Standard Aviation PC-12/U-28 aircraft and served as a Mission commander and Expeditionary Squadron Commander in support of an Overseas Contingency Operations Joint Task Force.

In December of 2016, Colonel Parker separated from active duty and joined the Arkansas Air National Guard as an MQ-9 pilot. He has served as Commander 184th Attack Squadron, Deputy Group Commander, 188th Operations Group, and currently is the 188th Operations Group Commander. He is a command pilot with more than 4,100 flying hours, 10 deployments, and has been qualified in 5 Major Weapons Systems that include C130E/H3, MQ-1, PC-12, U-28 and MQ-9 aircraft.
