To the rescue: 188th hosts Urban Search and Rescue training

Members of the 188th Fire Emergency Services Flight and the 138th Fire Emergency Services Flight conduct Urban Search and Rescue training at the 188th Fighter Wing in Fort Smith, Ark., Sept. 30, 2011. Fifteen members of the 188th and 10 Airmen with the 138th, an Air National Guard unit based in Tulsa, Okla., completed the two-week training course as part of the Rescue One certification process.

The Airmen will complete additional training at the 188th later in the year as part of the Rescue Two certification. The training site at the 188th is one of two Air National Guard facilities in the nation that conduct this particular training.
